On the third Saturday of each July, the outgoing District Governor hosts a "farewell" celebration for the outgoing District leadership team.  July Jubilee celebrates the accomplishments of the previous Toastmaster year and conducts the installation ceremony for the incoming leadership team.

Outstanding Toastmaster of the Year

All District 3 members in good standing (except District officers) may submit an application.  Points are earned for educational and service accomplishments as well as involvement at the Club level and selection is based solely on the application.  The highest point holder is awarded the honor of being announced as the District Outstanding Toastmaster of the Year at July Jubilee.  The official certificate from Toastmasters International and presentation of the traveling trophy are presented at the Fall Conference.  Outstanding Toastmaster of the Year trophies are also selected for each Division and Area.  These awards are presented at Fall Speech Contests for each Area and Division.

Outstanding Area Governor of the Year

Outstanding Division Governor of the Year

Outstanding Committee Chairman of the Year

Selected by the District Governor, Lt. Gov. Education & Training, and Lt. Gov. Marketing, all District 3 Committee Chairmen in good standing are eligible.  This discretionary award is presented to the Committee Chairman exemplifying communication & leadership qualities while leading a team delivering value-added service to the District.

Betty & Bob Gillis Award
Honorary - Youth Leadership

Selected by the District Governor, any District 3 member in good standing who serves as a Youth Leadership participant or supporter is eligible.  This discretionary award is presented to the Toastmaster exemplifying communication & leadership qualities as part of a community Youth Leadership program.

Russ Backus Award
Honorary - Distinguished Service

Selected by the District Governor, the recipient of this discretionary award is selected based on long-term service to the District - usually 10 years or more.  As such, the Russ Backus Award is considered the highest distinguished service award presented in District 3.

Hall of Fame Luncheon
Educational Achievement Awards

Members in attendance at the Fall Conference who have earned an educational award since the previous conference are recognized at their level of achievement.  This includes all:
  • Competent Communicators (CC)
  • Advanced Communicators (ACB, ACS, ACG)
  • Competent Leaders (CL)
  • Advanced Leaders (ALB, ALS)

Members who have earned their Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) since the previous conference participate in a special DTM ceremony held during the dinner event.

3D Reception
Distinguished Clubs
- Three Years In a Row

 

To honor clubs that are consistently Distinguished, a "3D" Reception is hosted at each conference for members of Clubs that have been Distinguished for three years in a row.  Members of 3D Distinguished clubs receive a black "3D" to wear with their conference badges.

During the Spring season (April/May), the Lt. Gov, Education & Training hosts a  celebration for the members of District 3.  Spring Conference celebrates the accomplishments of the current Toastmaster year and conducts the election of  the incoming District leadership team.

The Toastmasters International Communication & Leadership Award recognized a non-Toastmaster within the community who has made an outstanding contribution in communication and leadership.  Nominations are made by Toastmaster members

Club Bulletin/Newsletter Editor of the Year
