You're working the Toastmasters educational program and want to know how to enhance your experience or speed up your progress? Below you will find a chart of opportunities, both within your club and outside of your club, to achieve your goals. You too can become a Distinguished Toastmaster!

Communication Track

Your Current Award How to Get Involved
  Consider joining a second club to increase your speaking opportunities
Competent Communicator (CC)
Consider serving on a district committee
Advanced Communicator Bronze (ACB) Consider serving on a district committee - in particular, you might consider serving on the Toastmasters Leadership Institute committee as a session facilitator to get credit for module presentations
Advanced Communicator Silver (ACS) Conduct a Youth Leadership workshop or a presentation from the Success/Leadership Series or Success/Communication Series - Speechcraft is one of the more popular options
Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG) Complete the leadership track and celebrate by attending the next District 3 Conference to accept your Distinguished Toastmaster medallion!

Leadership Track

Your Current Award How to Get Involved
  Consider joining a second club to increase your speaking and leadership opportunities, attend Toastmasters Leadership Institute officer training, Consider serving on a district committee
Competent Leader (CL)
Attend Toastmasters Leadership Institute officer training, consider chairing or serving on a district committee and/or serving as an assistant to your current or incoming Area Director, while completing a High Performance Leadership project, or serve as a sponsor or mentor for a new club or a coach for a struggling club
Advanced Leader Bronze (ALB)
Apply for Area Director (click here for application) in January - March, serve a year as an Area Director, complete a High Performance Leadership project if it is not already done, consider starting a new club in your area and serving as a sponsor or mentor for that club
Advanced Leader Silver (ALS) Complete the communication track and celebrate your achievement by attending the next District 3 Conference to accept your Distinguished Toastmaster medallion!
