Want to have fun and develop your senses? Try these ideas SMELL: Bring in a piece of soap, perfumed clothing, chocolate bar, fresh ground coffee, onion, or peanuts. Have the member describe the item without looking at it. TASTE: Sweet, salty, sour, and bitter candy, potato chips, vinegar, lemon drops. Possible question Ask them to share a childhood member about a time when they sampled a similar flavor. TOUCH: Have members touch a sponge, silk, plastic, sand paper, plastic wrap. Possible question As a top fashion designer, have them describe their latest creation with the material offered. SIGHT: Gather postcards and pictures of beautiful locations, beaches, mountains. Tell the members they belong to a travel agency how would they promote the place and request a verbal tour of the land. SOUND: Using sound clips from audio tapes or compact discs, chose the sound of a gentle stream, crackling fire, waves breaking on rocks, a thunderstorm, etc. Tell the members the sounds were recorded on their last vacation have them describe the surroundings and events. | |
