District 3 Toastmasters Mentor Moment
Category Club Performance
Title Achieving The Mission - Distinguished Club Program
Contributor Trish Blackwelder, DTM

Between July 1 and June 30 each year, Toastmasters International measures how well each Club meets its worldwide Mission by the level of achievement the Club attains on the Distinguished Club Program (DCP).

When clubs participate and achieve Distinguished status, their members benefit.  In appreciation, World Headquarters (WHQ) awards each Distinguished club a banner ribbon recognizing their contribution to the worldwide Mission.

The DCP consists of 10-goals which comprise 4-categories of achievement:

Education: Goals 1-4 focus on members achieving CC and AC award levels.

Leadership: Goals 5, 6, and 9 address club officers attending training and attaining CL award levels.

Membership: Goals 6 and 7 are achieved as Clubs extend Toastmaster benefits to new, dual and reinstated members.

Accountability: Goal 10 is achieved when the Club completes dues renewals and officer election notifications by WHQ deadlines.

Ask your club officers how you can help the club achieve these goals!  For more information about the Mission of Toastmasters International and the DCP, visit:
