and announced the following nominations to the District

Division Governor was unable to attend the Nominating Committee meeting on
March 29, 2008. The Committee will reconvene as required to allow this
candidate to be heard and considered for nomination.
Elections will take place at the
business meeting of the
District 3 Spring
Conference, May 30-Jun 1, 2008. Electors are the District
Executive Committee and a quorum of the District 3 clubs. Each club
has two votes, represented by the President and VP Education. If these
officers cannot attend, a proxy form can be used. See the upcoming

Unanimously endorsed by the members and leaders of
District 3 on October 20, 2007...
- Whereas, as District Governor, 2005-2006, he
led District 3 to Presidents Distinguished District
recognition;
- Whereas, he served as District 3 Secretary
in 2003-2005 and District 11s Outstanding Division Governor of
the year in 1999-2000;
- Whereas, he participated since 2001 on the
Toastmasters Leadership Institute committee, serving as the
Facilitator Coordinator in 2006-2007 where a record number of
facilitators and officers were trained;
- Whereas, he has earned a Distinguished
Toastmaster (DTM) award in 2002 and continues to work the
educational program;
- Whereas, he has mentored new members, club
officers, district officers, new clubs and district committees
both in District 3 and District 11;
- Whereas, he has ensured that quality
standards are met by serving on the District Advisory Committee
and as the current District 3 Mentor Chairman;
- Whereas, he has unceasingly demonstrated his
reliability to fulfill commitments, do the job right, and ensure
that everyone enjoys the process; therefore, be it
Resolved, that District 3, in District Council,
wholeheartedly endorses Timothy Swearingen, DTM, for International
Director of Toastmasters International. |
